Fall Sports Information

The Fall Sports Season officially begins July 27, but not every sport will begin that day.

Confirmed for July 27 (Times TBD):

  • Football
  • Volleyball
  • Cross Country

Official tryout dates for Golf, Bowling, and Swim are not yet available, as we depend on facility scheduling.

2026-2027 Athletic Eligibility Procedure

To participate in athletics at Bishop Verot, all student-athletes must complete the Athletic Clearance process before participating in practices, workouts, or competitions.

Step 1: Create an Athletic Clearance Account

Visit www.athleticclearance.com

  • Create a parent account (or log in if you already have one).
  • Add your student-athlete.
  • Select Bishop Verot Catholic High School as your school.
  • Complete all required information.

Step 2: Complete the Following Documents:

 

EL1 - EKG Screening Form

EKG Screening Form - EL1

Required ONLY for:

  • Incoming Freshmen
  • Students who are new to athletics in the State of Florida

Instructions:

  • If your EKG results are sent electronically after the screening:
    • Parent/Guardian completes Section A of the EL1 form.
    • Upload both the completed EL1 form and the EKG results into Athletic Clearance.
  • If your healthcare provider gives you the results during the screening:
    • The healthcare provider completes Section B of the EL1 form.
    • Upload the completed EL1 form into Athletic Clearance.

EL2 - Physical Evaluation Form

Important:

  • Complete all parent/student information before your physical appointment.
  • Print the form and bring it with you to your physician.
  • Do NOT upload the EL2 form until it has been signed by the physician.

EL3 - Consent & Release Form

FHSAA EL3 Form

  • This form may be completed and uploaded prior to your physical.
  • We strongly encourage families to complete this form as soon as possible.

Step 3: Complete Required NFHS Learning Courses

Visit: https://www.nfhslearn.com

Each student-athlete must complete the following FREE courses:

  • Concussion in Sports
  • Heat Acclimation and Heat Illness Prevention
  • Sudden Cardiac Arrest
  • Sportsmanship

Important

The completion certificates must display the STUDENT-ATHLETE'S NAME, not the parent or guardian's name.

Upload each completion certificate into the Athletic Clearance portal after completing the courses.

These courses may be completed before your physical appointment, and we strongly encourage all athletes to complete them as soon as possible.

Before You Are Cleared

Your Athletic Clearance will not be approved until all required forms, certificates, and documents have been uploaded and reviewed.

Making the transition from high school athlete to collegiate athlete can be a daunting task. Lightning Alert

This is the *OFFICIAL* lightning alert system for Bishop Verot. This system is tied into the horn outside near the athletic fields, which sounds any time there is a lightning strike within 10 miles of that point. All outdoor activities must immediately cease, and everyone must find shelter as soon as possible.
